Collection: Basic Apparel

The world doesn't need more clothes, it needs better clothes.

Basic Apparel was founded in Denmark in 2013. The company is run by Camilla Balle and her team The brand focuses on protecting the environment and humane working conditions.

This future orientation is reflected in the use of materials. Not only is the GOTS label certified, which requires the use of resource-saving organic fibers such as organic cotton, but textiles such as Tencel or Eco-Vero from Lenzing are also used in the garments. If there is a functional need, recycled, synthetic materials can also be found in the garments. If animal materials are used because of their durability or other advantageous properties, they are always materials from certified, controlled animal husbandry.

The label also works with the social enterprise Plastic Bank. With every order, 4 kilograms of plastic are removed from the oceans and processed into new products.

However, the label is not only dedicated to its ecological footprint, but also to its social footprint. The majority of the products are produced in Turkey or China. The label is in close contact with the owners of the production plants and regular checks ensure fair working conditions and transparency along the entire production chain of the garments.
