well made and local

We offer well-made clothing, shoes, bags, backpacks, socks, sandals, hats and scarves from selected brands.

Everything from format is sewn locally in the workshop behind the store from certified fabrics, and some other items travel halfway around the world to be sold by us, thereby, for example, securing the livelihood of knitters in Peru. Everything offered is produced under demonstrably fair working conditions, much of it is made from organically certified or recycled raw materials.

Originally, since 2011, the WESEN store was the front room in front of the format workshop, with a shop window facing Neuköllner Weserstraße. Over the years, in addition to format products, more and more products from other brands with similar principles found their way into this space, which gradually became a proper store. In 2017, we moved around the corner to Tellstraße.
Since November 2023, the second format favourites store has been regularly open, and since mid-2026, it is once again our only store in Berlin. Store in front, workshop in back.
