Environmentally Friendly Materials: Recycled P.E.T. - Fabric is made from recycled plastic bottles derived from post-consumer waste. Recycled P.E.T. is a strong and versatile fabric that uses less energy and emits less CO2 into the atmosphere than polyester and nylon fabric production. Each umbrella is made from 9 recycled plastic bottles. The fabric is certified as SCS Recycled Content. The umbrellas are impregnated with an environmentally friendly, non-toxic AC coating. All packaging used by Original Duckhead for shipping from the factory to warehouses and retail partners is fully recyclable. Ethical Production: Original Duckhead has a long-standing partnership with their producer in China who is committed to ethical and environmentally friendly practices. They only work with manufacturers who share their high ethical and environmental standards. Partner factories are SEDEX-approved and SA8000-certified for labor standards, health and safety standards, environmental standards, and business ethics. So all in all: the perfect umbrella.
