Scarf, gray with color stripes
Scarf, gray with color stripes
Wool scarf undyed in shades of grey with colour stripes
The sheep's wool for the scarves comes mainly from New Zealand, where the cruel mutilation of sheep (mulesing) is prohibited, and is woven by hand in Nepal - under fair working conditions.
Size approx. 50 cm wide and 180 cm long
Material: 100% wool
The scarf is handwoven, so slight deviations in size and slight irregularities in the weave are possible. Care All types of wool have one thing in common: the risk of pilling. Pilling may look unsightly, but it is actually an indication of good quality: With its short, fine fibers, wool is susceptible to lint and pilling, which is a consequence of friction. Use a wool shaver to remove the small balls. Wool tends to absorb odors. Regular airing outdoors helps against this; but avoid direct sunlight to prevent the colors from fading. Or hang your scarf in damp air - in the bathroom or outside on a foggy day (not in the rain). The general rule is: wash wool as little as possible. If you wash out the protective wool fat, the scarf or blanket will get dirty again all the more quickly. If washing is necessary, you should note the following points: >> Temperature: Wool can felt at temperatures of 25 degrees and above, as the scale structure of the fiber contracts. So please always make sure that the water temperature is not too warm. >> Detergent: Be sure to use a wool care product with a moisturizing effect (normal detergents attack the wool fibers). You can add a little vinegar for the final rinses: This ensures the right pH value that the wool likes and freshens up the colors. >> Hand wash: Wool should only be moved back and forth gently, do not rub or wring too much. >> Drying: Lay the scarf flat on a bath towel and clothes rack and turn it over several times until it is dry. And please never in direct sunlight, on the heater or even in the tumble dryer. Stains should be removed as quickly as possible so that they do not penetrate deep into the fibers and dry on. Here too, the following applies: Rub or brush as little as possible, instead soak and remove the stain as quickly as possible with hair shampoo or wool detergent. Material 100% wool
